UPSL-League Soccer Team In Southwest Detroit
Alianza FC is an up-and-coming UPSL-league soccer team for the community of Southwest Detroit.
Through my capacity as Graphics Engineer for MyLocker/CustomCat, I had the unique opportunity of establishing consistent branding for the team in addition to heading up the printing of flyers, jerseys, team merch, and designing the team’s initial website.
One of the greatest feelings is seeing a project you helped start go take on a life of its own. I'm proud to say that's where Alianza FC is now, though I still help with the occasional game flyer or review of team merch artwork.
Bilingual Website
Since the primary language spoken by the team and its community is Spanish, having a website that was multilingual was key. I'd receive text copy in English, then collaborate with a translator to ensure proper grammar and context.

Handouts, Flyers, & Banners
Much of the ground work of getting the team's brand up and running involved designing and printing ads, banners, and other various graphics.
These were then distributed around the community to spread awareness for the new team.

No Hardware? No Problem!
Sometimes all you have is a very short project timeline and some tape. This custom-made banner stand is one example where I was challenged to think outside the box--literally! Using reclaimed cardboard, I mounted this vertical poster to a simple yet very sturdy stand.
